December 4, 2020
We want to share with you a new initiative that Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary is undertaking to assist prospective candidates between 30 and 60 years of age in their discernment of a possible vocation to Priesthood.
We are starting a program entitled “VIRTUAL First Friday Visits” in which we will host interested men and invite them to join the Seminary community for prayer and a zoom information session. These brief and informal evenings will begin at 5:00 PM and conclude by 7:00 PM. During their virtual visit here, the men will join the community for Holy Hour and Evening Prayer https://www.psjs.edu/chapel-live-stream, followed by an informational zoom session with seminarians. If a candidate wishes to speak with a priest faculty member during his virtual visit, we will arrange for that as well.
Please encourage men that you know in your parish to avail themselves of this opportunity. We are hosting a First Friday visit on Friday, December 4th. We will resume the visits in February after the winter break. If you know of a man who might be interested in pursuing a possible vocation or who might benefit from a brief visit to Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, please have him reach out to Msgr. William Fay to arrange the visit.
