There’s that old saying: “if you don’t know, you don’t know.”  In other words, if you are not aware of something, you just don’t know all that is involved in it.  On the other hand, when we learn about something, it allows us to know in what way it relates to us, and in what way we want to relate to it.  The same is true of any vocation in the Church.  One task of any parish or Collaborative Vocation Team is to help their fellow parishioners understand the different options that exist for service in the church and the different vocations to which one might be called.  In all different aspects of parish life, we can promote a Culture of Vocations and promote Vocations to the Archdiocesan Priesthood by increasing awareness of what a Vocation is all about, what characterizes each vocation and how one can come to know one’s vocation in life.
